W. H. Gibson was a Canadian writer and poet born in Ontario, Canada. He is best known for his short stories and poems, most of which appeared in the Montreal Daily Star and the Toronto Daily Star
Gibson also contributed to the Toronto Forum and The Word, two important magazines of the time. He was a journalist and music critic and wrote several books, including The Fingerprint: or, What You Can Know about People (1902) and A Man's Part (1908). He died in 1932 at age 61.
